About MiDRSM

In 2016, Altarum launched a first-of-a-kind state wide oral health monitoring system, Michigan's Dental Registry (MiDRSM), aimed at transforming the way primary care providers and dentists communicate regarding their pediatric patient oral health. MiDR was developed through Grant Number 1C1CMS331321 from the Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and is currently maintained by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Department of Technology, Management & Budget (MDHHS DTMB).

MiDR’s web-based platform is designed to document provided care, and place and track referrals to a dentist as needed. MiDRSM partners with Delta Dental of Michigan, Michigan's largest dental insurer, and BlueCross Blue Shield of Michigan’s DentaQuest partnership to offer direct access to the most up to date Healthy Kid's Dental network of dentists

MiDRSM increases communication and transparency among the patient's care team, allowing for better coordination in patient treatment and referrals across the medical and dental settings, positively impacting the quality of oral health care provided, and increasing early prevention among young patients.

MiDRSM is available through the State of Michigan MILogin portal for easy access. MiDR also offers Electronic Health Record System integration for a seamless user experience.
